Cambridge PorchFest
Cambridgeport will be hosting a portion of Cambridge’s first ever PorchFest on Saturday, July 19. As you probably know, PorchFest is a free, walkable, musical, community DIY event: local residents host talented local performers on their porches (or patios, or backyards, or whatever), and attendees enjoy the music and the neighborhood.
The Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association has received a grant from the Cambridge Arts Council to support this pilot, inaugural fest. And our neighborhood will not be alone: the Cambridge Arts Council is also reaching out to organizations in Riverside and The Port to host related events, and the Central Square Business District is planning a complementary event on Sunday, Jul 20: Deck Fest, bringing live music to outdoor dining and gathering spaces in Central Square.

This will be a summer weekend worth sticking around for, and we hope it begins an annual tradition that eventually spans Cambridge.
More information is coming soon about volunteering, hosting, and performing. But if you already know you're interested, we'd love to hear it - you can reach out to the planning team at cportchfest@cambridgeport.org.
